Penfolds Bin 51 Eden Valley Riesling 2015

Penfolds has made great reds since the 1960s, great chardonnays for 10 years and with the release of the 2015 vintage, its riesling world has changed.

This is a great Australian Riesling, being softer, fuller and more generous than any prior release, with both an age-worthy firm acid backbone and great length.

The wine has racy and classy acidity and a brilliant and cleansing finish and after-taste.

As compared to most rieslings, it brims with life, has delightful fragrant and lifted aromatics, lingers refreshingly and is long, delicious and mouthwatering.

The 2015 Penfold Bin 51 and the 2014 Henschke Julius are the two finest Australian rieslings that we have tried since the 2013 Grosset Polish Hill.

This is Penfolds best ever riesling.

18.5 points and RRP $29.
