Blaze still lighting the way on homes
TO fans of a couple of popular home improvement television programs, Shaynna Blaze is a household name that has earned the utmost respect.
Melbourne’s award-winning interior designer became a public face in 2008 as co-presenter of The LifeStyle Channel’s Selling Homes Australia and since 2012, she has also been a judge on the Nine Network’s hit series The Block, helping guide and critique the interior design ideas of have-a-go Australians. This weekend, she will be in WA to help open a new highend furniture shop in Osborne Park that she sees as a match for the “growth in expression” in the changing market of Perth homes, restaurants and cafes.
Furniture Gallery’s third Perth store is being marketed as a flagship showroom, showcasing eclectic, contemporary, and classic furnishings and home décor – including Ms Blaze’s lighting products, described as a juxtaposition of elegance and strength.
“My lighting range is a contrast of materials with beautiful bold colours encased in organic glass shapes with rims of silver and copper,” Ms Blaze said. “Lights are stars in their own right and are taking centre stage, literally in interiors.
“Lighting has made its way to be the feature piece in the home and becoming very bold.”
