Western Suburbs Weekly - - Street Watch -

YOUTH Focus has appointed Fiona Kalaf as chief executive to replace Jenny Allen, who will step down at the end of this year.

Ms Kalaf has experience in executive management in the private and not-for-profit sectors.

She currently works as the chief executive of Lifeline WA, a role she has held for the past four years.

Youth Focus board chairman Peter Harold said the organisation was delighted to appoint Ms Kalaf to the position.

“Fiona will take on the CEO role at a time of increasing need for community services in the area of mental health and suicide prevention,” Mr Harold said.

“We look forward to working with Fiona as she carries on the excellent work Jenny and the executive team has done to increase the services provided by Youth Focus.”

Youth Focus is an independent not-for-profit organisation working to stop youth suicide through free counselling and mental health services for young people.

Fiona will commence her new role in early February 2016.
