Woodlands wooden door smashed in

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

ABOUT 10.15pm on November 9, two thieves smashed down the door of a home on Teakwood Avenue in Woodlands.

The offenders cracked the wooden door while the occupants were inside.

They went to investigate the noise and offenders realised people were in the house.

A 60-year-old resident chased them out of the house and one of the offenders punched the man before escaping in a vehicle waiting nearby. This offender is described as having a solid build with a beard and was wearing a tank top and black shorts. Nothing was stolen from the house. Acting Senior Sergeant Haydn Farrow said the police were investigating forensic evidence and inquiring with neighbours.

“If you hear something, get on the phone to the police straight away and do not try and confront intruders yourself; your own safety is paramount,” Snr Sgt Farrow said.
