Bishop’s Curtin call on assessment
THIS newspaper’s Luxury Lifestyle magazine was hot off the press when Curtin MHR Julie Bishop read the first copy ahead of her annual Christmas party last Thursday.
The Liberal Party deputy leader, who features in the luxury magazine, tried her hand at writing in The Australian recently but failed to get a perfect mark from Curtin division president Ann Patrick at the party.
The Rossmoyne Senior High School Year 12 co-ordinator gave her a 27/30, prompting Ms Bishop to demand a recount.
Ms Bishop thanked her staff at the event, announcing that her personal assistant Kirsten Barker had recently given birth to a daughter, Willow.
However, Jandakot MLA Joe Francis got left out of the official welcome “because he didn’t respond to the invitation”.
