THE West Leederville branch of gym Snap Fitness is among those allegedly robbed by a Mirrabooka man (27) in the past month. Senior Sergeant Murray Geneff said a search of the man’s Wintersweet Ramble, Mirrabooka, home on November 24 found stolen personal items worth about $30,000, including items from the Innaloo and Dianella branches of the gym. “We still have not been able to determine how he got in, but we assume he used a swipe card,” Snr Sgt Geneff said. The man was charged with four counts of fraud, and two of stealing, before he was remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.

Snr Sgt Geneff said police would allege the boys boarded a train at Subiaco train station after the theft, before police followed and arrested them on the train, where the bottles were found in a backpack. The Willagee boy was charged with stealing and the South Lake boy with an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Both will appear at Perth Children’s Court at a later date.
A LAPTOP was taken from a Subiaco Road home at 6pm on November 21. Police said the home’s owner was in the laundry at the time of the robbery. However, he was not aware of the theft until he went into his bedroom later.
A MAN shouting “Cherrie, Cherrie” repeatedly attempted to get into a Bagot Road apartment about 2pm on November 23. Police said the shouting woke the apartment’s resident who went to the door when the man attempted twice to enter, before running off. The man was described as aged 50-60, wearing jeans and a flat, peaked cap and carrying a laptop bag.
WEMBLEY police will allege a Nollamara woman (23) stole from swimmers at the Beatty Park Aquatic Centre, North Perth in a two-week spree until November 25. Snr Sgt Geneff said personal property, including bathers, was at the woman’s home when it was searched on November 25. “It will be alleged she had a pram and was loading it up at the swimming pool,” Snr Sgt Geneff said. The woman was charged with stealing, unlawful possession and breach of bail, before she was remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.
