An image of efficiency
A LABOUR of love has kept Helen Parry at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) for 31 years.
The Perth resident and chief medical imaging technologist was awarded for her work in improving access to imaging at RPH’s Outstanding Service Awards on November 20.
Ms Parry, who leads 100 staff, helped to decrease wait times for imaging by 97 per cent through a CT Redesign Project in 2013.
“I’ve made the most out of service for a minimum cost,” she said.
“I’ve had many meetings with doctors who say it is hard to get imaging and we really worked on a four-hour turnaround and getting patients through the hospital quicker.”
Helen Parry receives an Outstanding Service Award from RPH acting executive director Aresh Anwar.
