Di­rec­tor Ap­point­ments Drive Or­gan­i­sa­tional Change

The City of Perth has ap­pointed three new Direc­tors, two to re­place long-serv­ing staff who have re­tired, and the third to drive in­creased eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment and ac­ti­va­tion across the CBD. Lord Mayor Lisa Scaf­fidi said new lead­er­ship would com­ple­ment the City’s re­struc­ture which was oc­cur­ring in line with the con­sid­er­able growth and re­vi­tal­i­sa­tion of Perth in re­cent years. “In ad­di­tion to stream­lin­ing cus­tomer ser­vice, the New City of Perth will in­crease its fo­cus on im­prov­ing data in­for­ma­tion sys­tems and eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment. New lead­er­ship will pro­vide fresh insight into the way we do busi­ness,” Ms Scaf­fidi said. “It is an ex­cit­ing pe­riod for the City of Perth, and timely we wel­come three new tal­ents to head up three of our five Direc­torates.” Re­becca Moore has been ap­pointed to the Com­mu­nity and Com­mer­cial Ser­vices Direc­torate, Michael Carter to the newly cre­ated Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment and Ac­ti­va­tion Direc­torate, with Paul Cros­setta se­lected as Di­rec­tor, Con­struc­tion and Main­te­nance. Ms Moore is an ex­pe­ri­enced ex­ec­u­tive who has held se­nior roles across a range of sec­tors, in­clud­ing State and lo­cal gov­ern­ment, min­ing, not-for-profit and the fi­nan­cial ser­vices sec­tor. She has held po­si­tions with the Com­mon­wealth Bank, Cities of Ned­lands and Joon­dalup, the Shire of Toodyay, and the Food In­dus­try As­so­ci­a­tion. Mr Carter has more than 20 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence in cor­po­rate and strate­gic plan­ning, in­ter­na­tional mar­ket­ing, and busi­ness de­vel­op­ment joins the City af­ter more than a decade with the Aus­tralian Trade Com­mis­sion. Mr Cros­setta joins the City hav­ing led busi­ness oper­a­tions and project teams in Aus­tralia and the Mid­dle East. Paul has over 30 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence, with a proven track record in de­vel­op­ment and de­liv­ery of con­struc­tion, in­fra­struc­ture, civil and trans­port con­struc­tion-based projects. The new Direc­tors join Martin Mile­ham, Di­rec­tor, Plan­ning and De­vel­op­ment, Robert Mianich, Di­rec­tor, Cor­po­rate Ser­vices, and CEO Gary Steven­son to form the City’s lead­er­ship team.
