Director Appointments Drive Organisational Change
The City of Perth has appointed three new Directors, two to replace long-serving staff who have retired, and the third to drive increased economic development and activation across the CBD. Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said new leadership would complement the City’s restructure which was occurring in line with the considerable growth and revitalisation of Perth in recent years. “In addition to streamlining customer service, the New City of Perth will increase its focus on improving data information systems and economic development. New leadership will provide fresh insight into the way we do business,” Ms Scaffidi said. “It is an exciting period for the City of Perth, and timely we welcome three new talents to head up three of our five Directorates.” Rebecca Moore has been appointed to the Community and Commercial Services Directorate, Michael Carter to the newly created Economic Development and Activation Directorate, with Paul Crossetta selected as Director, Construction and Maintenance. Ms Moore is an experienced executive who has held senior roles across a range of sectors, including State and local government, mining, not-for-profit and the financial services sector. She has held positions with the Commonwealth Bank, Cities of Nedlands and Joondalup, the Shire of Toodyay, and the Food Industry Association. Mr Carter has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate and strategic planning, international marketing, and business development joins the City after more than a decade with the Australian Trade Commission. Mr Crossetta joins the City having led business operations and project teams in Australia and the Middle East. Paul has over 30 years’ experience, with a proven track record in development and delivery of construction, infrastructure, civil and transport construction-based projects. The new Directors join Martin Mileham, Director, Planning and Development, Robert Mianich, Director, Corporate Services, and CEO Gary Stevenson to form the City’s leadership team.
