Complaints filed against Subiaco councillor

Western Suburbs Weekly - - News -

FORMER City of Subiaco acting chief executive Ian Hill filed three complaints about councillor Mark Burns to the WA Local Government Standards Panel on September 23.

Cr Burns said the complaints dealt with five separate issues, including saying Wilson Parking was the “definition of corporate psychopaths” at a September council meeting.

Cr Burns said Mr Hill also said he wrongly spoke on behalf of the City to at least six journalists about Wilson Parking. However, Cr Burns said he always made clear that his comments were his own opinions.

“It is unfortunate that this is how Mr Hill chose to spend his last day at the City,” Cr Burns said. “The complaints are trivial and ill-conceived.” Cr Burns has until December 17 to make a submission to the panel.
