LOCATED in the centre of Cottesloe on Station Street, Lamont’s Cottesloe is owner Kate Lamont’s tiny 17-table wine store, wine bar and restaurant.
The store’s unique ambience encourages browsing with cases of wine squeezed between tables and an entire wine wall containing hundreds of carefully selected and well-priced local and international bottles.
Wine stocker John Jens specialises in filling the store with WA’s best wines and New Zealand’s finest pinot noirs as well as importing thousands of cases a year direct from 41 wineries in Spain, Italy and France.
Wine selections can be purchased to take home or the restaurant adds $18.50 corkage for in-house consumption.
The restaurant is open from noon until late seven days and Kate’s experience with small portions, main size dishes and desserts is key to guests’ dining experiences.
Lamont’s Cottesloe also runs one of Australia’s largest wine tasting programs.
