Making pearls a clutch item

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Fashion - with Desmond Eddy

IT is that time of year for Christmas party merriment but the question from so many party revellers is, what do I wear and how do I make the most of my wardrobe?

Claremont retailer Atlas Pearls and Perfumes has come up with a novel approach on how to prepare for the Christmas festivities and summer party season.

Atlas Pearls is collaborating with stylist AndAndrea (aka Andrea Tonkin) to produce a style guide with fashion tips to help make dressing for the Christmas season as fun as the parties themselves that you attend.

The Atlas Style Series catalogue offers AndAndrea’s street style formula. Critical to the looks is using Atlas South Sea pearls in a contemporary, casual and everyday way.

In 2015, Atlas Pearls launched its Atlas Style Series, pairing up with incredible fashion icons to create amazing jewellery collections.

WA fashion “it” girls Zhivago worked with Atlas to create the runway sensation Atlas-Zhivagoe arcuff.

The pearl earcuff made international headlines when singer Katy Perry wore it to the ARIA Awards while accessories designer and queen of the clutch, Poppy Lissiman collaborated to produce the fashion forward Eye Sea You jewellery line.

With a new year ahead, 2016 promises more exciting Atlas collaborations, style sessions with guest stylist AndAndrea and a showcase of WA designers.

The style events give guests the first glance at new collection fashions and pearl jewellery while offering useful and personalised style tips on how to get more from your wardrobe and jewellery box.

“At Atlas we invite opinion leaders and fashion makers to share their creativity and their own interpretation of what a pearl stands for and what it could be,” Atlas Pearls chief executive Pierre Fallourd said.

Atlas Style events for 2016 will feature hot WA talent including Natalie Rolt, Morrison, Empire Rose, Perlu, Mode and Affaire.

Because life is too short to save your pearls for a special occasion.
