Lunch in park tradition thriving

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Christmas -

FLUOR Australia is sponsoring two tables at this year’s Mission Australia Christmas Lunch in the Park (CLIP), a tradition of more than 20 years.

Tables can be sponsored for $500 and allow people who are less fortunate or without family and friends to enjoy Christmas lunch at Wellington Square Park.

Fluor Australia HR manager Caron Ducie said supporting events like CLIP made people remember that not everyone was as fortunate as them.

“We have friends and family and can sit down to a nice meal but not everyone has that,” Mrs Ducie said.

“It’s nice to think there’s somewhere for people to go because Christmas Day can be a lonely day if you’re on your own.”
