Young star set to fly flag for WA
Scarlett Johnstone has been selected in the sub-junior state team. SCARLETT Johnstone is the first Imperial Calisthenics Club member to make the subjunior state team.
The eight-year-old, who is coached by Breanna Knight, recently finished first with Annalise Santaro in the nineyear-old novice duo category at a Calisthenics Association of WA competition.
She also came third in the eight-year-old novice solo section.
Other Imperial members to place were Louisa CaperszLoney and Alice Anderson (third, 12-year-olds novice duo), Amy Waller and Claire Whittaker (first, 14-year-old novice duo) and Shannon O’Neill and Joliette Booth (fifth, 14-year-old novice duo).
President Melanie Johnston said the club was proud of the hard work and determination shown by the competitors and their coaches.
Louisa Capersz-Loney and Alice Anderson also performed well at the competition.
