Young star set to fly flag for WA

Scar­lett John­stone has been se­lected in the sub-ju­nior state team. SCAR­LETT John­stone is the first Im­pe­rial Cal­is­then­ics Club mem­ber to make the subju­nior state team.

The eight-year-old, who is coached by Bre­anna Knight, re­cently fin­ished first with An­nalise San­taro in the nineyear-old novice duo cat­e­gory at a Cal­is­then­ics As­so­ci­a­tion of WA com­pe­ti­tion.

She also came third in the eight-year-old novice solo sec­tion.

Other Im­pe­rial mem­bers to place were Louisa Caper­szLoney and Alice An­der­son (third, 12-year-olds novice duo), Amy Waller and Claire Whittaker (first, 14-year-old novice duo) and Shan­non O’Neill and Joli­ette Booth (fifth, 14-year-old novice duo).

Pres­i­dent Me­lanie John­ston said the club was proud of the hard work and de­ter­mi­na­tion shown by the com­peti­tors and their coaches.

Louisa Capersz-Loney and Alice An­der­son also per­formed well at the com­pe­ti­tion.
