WORLD FIRST STUDY BEGINS
IN a world first, St John of God Subiaco Hospital will begin a phase two study on the drug Onivyde to treat metastatic pancreatic cancer. After the hospital was involved in the first phase of the Napoli one trial, the second study trial will incorporate the best treatments for front-line pancreatic cancer. Dr Andrew Dean, who established the palliative care services at St John of God Subiaco Hospital, will head the study. “Our team is extremely excited,” he said.
