Heritage home destroyed by fire

Western Suburbs Weekly - - News -

A FIRE reduced one of the most beloved heritage homes in Perth to ruins on December 21.

The cause of the fire at Paganin House on The Boulevard in Floreat is still undetermined.

Designed by renowned modernist architect Iwan Iwanoff, the house was built in 1965 and most recently sold in April 2013 for about $2.2 million.

Readers shared their sadness over losing the “local treasure” when the Western Suburbs Weekly tweeted the news hours after the fire gutted the four-bedroom home. “So sad, beautiful home,” Lee Ryan said. The owners were on holiday at the time.

Paganin House was considered a treasure by locals.
