A LOCAL artist and illustrator has decided to leave it up to the public to finish his images, releasing his first colouring book.

Kyle Hughes-Odgers’ book Off the Wall allows the reader to beautify his images with whatever they deem suitable, whether it be bold strokes or soft lines.

Hughes-Odgers said he dedicated the book to anyone who liked drawing all over everything.

“I would always get in trouble at school for drawing through every class but I never saw anything wrong with it because it helped me listen,” he said. “I really like the idea of getting people drawing and colouring-in again.

“Colouring books are a great way to get creative if you don’t necessarily know what you want to create. “

It’s made up from pages taken from years and years of my sketch books.”

Off the Wall is available from www.fremantlepress.com.au.
