CYCLING PATH WORK FINISHED
WORK has finished on a 1.5km, $1.5 million Karrakatta cycling and pedestrian path shelter with a new bus bay at Shenton Park Station. “This newly constructed path is an important piece in a large jigsaw of cycling and pedestrian networks linking Perth’s western suburbs to the city’s CBD,” Transport Minister Dean Nalder said. The State Government was planning the path south from Cottesloe to North Fremantle that would complete the route between Perth and Fremantle. A City of Fremantle-built section, from Tydeman Road to the Fremantle Traffic Bridge, may be opened next month.
