ST John of God Health Care surpassed 10,000 babies born in 2015 in its 11 hospitals in early December and Laura Galisteo added to that on Christmas Day.

The hospitals’ maternity wards celebrated the highest number of births for the year to date in the group’s 120-year history with babies born on Wednesday, December 9 receiving gifts.

Eleven of those babies were born at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.

Ms Galisteo, a new mum, was celebrating a traditional family meal on Christmas Eve when she went into labour three weeks before the baby’s due date.
