Business praised for its high standards

Western Suburbs Weekly - - BUSINESS -

WEST Leederville-based Austral Fisheries has won the agribusiness category of the national Australian Export Awards.

The business specialises in sustainable seafood, including Marine Stewardship Council-certified Skull Island Tiger Prawns and Glacier 51 Toothfish.

Commerce Minister Michael Mischin said the deep-sea fishing company’s ocean-to-plate focus had led to their products being sold worldwide.

“Austral Fisheries greatly deserves this recognition and is just one example of the excellence displayed by the WA business community, showing that our standards and achievements are among the nation's best,” he said.
