Highs, lows on the road

In the

Natalie Burton AFTER a disappointing loss last week to the reigning champions the Townsville Fire, the Perth Lynx had a quick turnaround before they embarked on a five-day road trip in search of their first win for 2016.

The first stop-off was Sydney, the home of the Sydney Uni Flames, who sat third on the ladder, one position behind the Lynx.

A last quarter rally wasn’t enough to get the win and the Lynx went down by 10 points.

Furthermore, Lynx centre Louella Tomlinson suffered an ankle injury that meant she was unable to play the last half of the game and was ruled out for the game against Canberra. We’re sure she will be back in no time! Right from the tip-off we squashed any hope Canberra had of getting a win over us in a dominating performance. The league now takes a two-week break. The Lynx are back in action with another home game on January 24; see you there!
