SU­BI­ACO Floreat pulled them­selves off the bot­tom of the lad­der with two wins, while Univer­sity played out one of the games of the sea­son to de­feat Bayswa­ter-Mor­ley as the Premier Cricket com­pe­ti­tion re­sumed.

Chris Hans­berry took 2-13 to bowl his side to vic­tory against Mid­land-Guild­ford be­fore tak­ing three more wick­ets on Sun­day to re­strict Scar­bor­ough to 177 in pur­suit of 275. Calum How scored 65 and 79.

Univer­sity was out­classed on Satur­day as Clare­mont-Ned­lands cruised to vic­tory at James Oval. Sean Stu­art had a ter­rific start to his Univer­sity ca­reer, tak­ing 3-59.

Stu­art then led his side to a vic­tory on Sun­day with 4-20, com­bin­ing with the Stu­dents’ other left-arm spin­ner Nick Maiolo to bowl Bayswa­ter-Mor­ley out for 147.

The Stu­dents then reached the to­tal in dra­matic fash­ion, scor­ing the one run re­quired with three balls re­main­ing and nine wick­ets down.
