Council meeting dates to change
COTTESLOE Council meetings previously held on Monday in the fourth week of each month will now be held monthly at 7pm on Tuesdays in 2016.
At the December 15 meeting, councillors agreed the trial would also replace committee meetings with briefing sessions for all councillors at 6pm on the Tuesday of the second week of each month.
Chief executive Mat Humfrey said the change would improve efficiency and bring Cottesloe in line with the meeting dates of other councils.
Answering claims public and councillors’ agendas could be different, Mr Humfrey said the public agenda could be “briefer” because it may not include repeated councillors’ information, such statutory law.
