Children revel in great outdoors
NATURE Play WA held a play day event at Matilda Bay Reserve during the holidays.
Children build a fort the size of a house, waded the river and tried ‘summer sledding’ riding an ice block down the river slopes.
Nature Play WA chief executive Griffin Longley said their mission was to get kids outdoors and playing every day.
“This event was a showcase of some of the amazing experiences you can have every day,” he said.
“It was also one of the first events we have run in conjunction with the Friends of Nature Play WA initiative, which helps connect parents with local outdoor adventure and experience providers.”
