Have your say on playground

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

SUBIACO residents have until February 5 to vote on their preferred new playground design for Richard Diggins Park on Park Street.

A City of Subiaco spokeswoman said the playground equipment had almost reached the end of its safe, useful life and was due for replacement as part of the City’s Capital Improve- ments Program.

Mayor Heather Henderson said she looked forward to delivering a unique, safe and exciting play space to contribute to the physical, social and emotional development, and wellbeing of children.

“At the core of the City’s Playspace Strategy is the idea that play is integral to childhood and the City is working closely with the community to ensure the needs of their children are fulfilled,” Mrs Henderson said.

The City commenced a threestage consultation process to replace the play space in September 2015.

The three designs can be viewed at www.haveyoursay subiaco.wa.gov.au.
