PINK SOCKS WORN AT SWANBOURNE DERBY
SWANBOURNE Tigers Junior Football Club was a sea of pink football socks on Sunday for the derby between Gold and Navy that raised awareness of breast cancer research.
The Gold team were victorious in the Year 7 derby on Mother’s Day, but Navy will get an opportunity to square the ledger later in the year.
The pink socks initiative started last year in a show of support for club members affected by breast cancer.
Mums made up most of the crowd at Allen Park.
