Cracking good idea for funds

Western Suburbs Weekly - - News -

IT is not often that the boss is seen with egg on his face – figuratively or, in this case, literally.

But for the man who is chief executive of Community Newspaper Group, Alan Clyne, there is no better reason to be in such a sticky situation than supporting the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF).

Perth siblings Isobel and Ruby Donaldson, who both have cystic fibrosis, are behind an internet video fundraising challenge called #crackacure.

Much like the motor neurone disease fundraising ice bucket challenge that took the internet by storm last year, the girls are hoping for a viral reaction to their video, where people are challenged to crack an egg on themselves to ‘crack a cure’ for CF.

Mr Clyne has challenged his company’s chief financial officer, Ian Edwards, and Channel 7 television identity Adrian Barich to follow his lead. To donate or to register visit www.crackacure.com.

Shelling out for cystic fibrosis: CNG Group CEO Alan Clyne gets into the crackacure campaign for CF.
