New foun­da­tion for dis­ad­van­taged kids

NEWLY formed chil­dren’s char­ity Be In­spired Foun­da­tion will hold an of­fi­cial launch to raise vi­tal funds for dis­ad­van­taged chil­dren and youth on Satur­day, May 28.

To be held at the City Beach Oval Pavil­ion, the event will in­clude live mu­sic, silent auc­tion, raf­fles, door prizes and the op­por­tu­nity to hear from the foun­da­tion and its am­bas­sadors.

Bayswa­ter res­i­dent and char­ity di­rec­tor Shane New­ton said he be­came in­volved with the or­gan­i­sa­tion be­cause he be­lieved the char­ity was able to make a dif­fer­ence to the lives of dis­ad­van­taged chil- dren in the com­mu­nity.

“It pro­vides re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion treat­ment plans to dis­ad­van­taged chil­dren,” he said.

“I be­lieve it’s im­por­tant to help these chil­dren ac­cess the re­quired ser­vices they need to help im­prove their qual­ity of life.”

All funds raised on the night will go towards chil­dren from dis­ad­van­taged back­grounds liv­ing with chronic dis­ease, can­cer, dis­abil­i­ties or ma­jor trauma to ac­cess ev­i­denced-based ser­vices such as ex­er­cise phys­i­ol­ogy, di­etet­ics and psy­cho­log­i­cal ser­vices.
