THE Premium Wolf Blass reds are as good as and as contemporised as ever. With the strength of the west's cabernet and red Bordeaux blends, the traditional, more heavily (American) oaked and fuller, softer and plumper South Australian cabernet shiraz blends are not the iconic names that they remain in the eastern states. The 2012 Wolf Blass Grey Label is a crowd pleaser. “Full, plump and dense and then comes the softness and appeal. “Lovely length and then the subtle refined and soft tannined finish.” One of the very best and most satisfying at under $50. 18.5 points.
