JOSH Kennedy’s par­ents crossed the border from Can­berra to Vic­to­ria be­cause they wanted their first son to be born in the lat­ter state.

The West Coast Ea­gles for­ward re­vealed at a busi­ness break­fast last week that his par­ents wanted him born a Vic­to­rian de­spite liv­ing in Can­berra at the time.

Jamie Kennedy and Jenny Peter­son played for the Can­berra Can­nons and Cap­i­tals re­spec­tively and met at the Aus­tralian In­sti­tute of Sport.

Kennedy, of Wem­b­ley, talked about his first job work­ing at Bed­shed in Mor­ley where he gave him­self the ti­tle of “ware­house man­ager” and even­tu­ally went on to run JK Moves and Sleepy’s Os­borne Park, but sold both busi­nesses two years ago.
