Union Designer Wear on King

ENGLISH-born Joanne Bartholomew fell in love with WA, moving from the UK three and a half years ago knowing she would never return.

After noticing a gap in the menswear market, Bartholomew opened Union Designer Wear in Dolphin Quays Marina, Mandurah last July and has now opened a city store on Kings Street.

“I looked in the city originally for possible locations, then decided against it due to cost of rent at the time,” Bartholomew said.

“Then after Christmas I spotted this King Street location and knew I had to secure it; I’d moved in within the month.”

Union Designer Wear is the only in-store Australian stockist of Lyle & Scott, Luke and Liam Gallagher’s label Pretty Green.

It also stocks Farah Vintage, Hugo Boss Green, Fred Perry, Lacoste, Diesel and Replay.

“I have added trainers and accessories to the brand collection where possible, creating a one stop men’s boutique for men who like to look stylish and casual,” Bartholomew said.

There is a small children’s collection for kids to match their dad in Fred Perry and Lacoste, and Bartholomew will soon be adding a women’s range to complement.
