Common cents would make a change
THE one cent and two cent coins have been out of circulation for a number of years, yet the supermarkets still advertise some items at $1.93, $2.99 and so forth.
If the one and two cent coins are no longer legal tender, then why are supermarkets permitted to advertise as such, or can I demand my change?
It will be very interesting to see what prices are advertised when the five cent piece is scrapped. Jill McIntyre, Victoria Park.
