Great chance to have your say on Subiaco Activity Centre Plan
THE CITY of Subiaco wants feedback on the future of the town centre with the draft Subiaco Activity Centre Plan.
The plan, which recently went out for public consultation, provides a framework for the ongoing development and revitalisation of the town centre, and outlines provisions for increased density, transport and heritage conservation, land use and urban form.
The Property Exchange director Niki Peinke weighed in on the plan and said she believed it would be great for Subiaco.
“In theory it’s fantastic, I just hope it’s carried out in practice,” she said.
“Subiaco is a very special place, with depth and character. It’s got everything going for it and it’s our job to show those things off the best way we can.”
Mayor Heather Henderson said the City was seeking feedback on the plan from local business owners and operators, residents, visitors, and anyone with an interest in Subiaco.
“We’ve asked Niki what she thinks about the plan because she’s got a keen interest in Subiaco and expertise in the property industry,” she said.
“Local real estate agents have a unique perspective of Subiaco. They live and breathe Subiaco, and know the best parts and what attracts people to the area.
“They’re often the interface between potential investors and property owners, and we want their ideas and feedback for how we can continue to make improvements.”
Public consultation for the draft Subiaco Activity Centre Plan will close on Friday, July 8 at 5pm.
