COTTESLOE MP Colin Barnett has announced seven primary schools in his electorate will get new computers and software from the State Government’s $20 million Primary Device Program.

“IT devices are powerful tools for helping students improve literacy and numeracy skills, when used in a balanced education program,” Mr Barnett said.

Cottesloe, Freshwater Bay, Mosman Park, Mount Claremont, North Cottesloe, North Fremantle and Swanbourne primary schools will get iPads, desktop computers and accessories including charging stations, trolleys, power boards and monitors.

The Government’s program matches each dollar raised by schools to buy computers and digital equipment.
