Exercise helps ease side-effects
A NEW program using exercise to improve the lives of people living with mesothelioma has changed East Fremantle’s Andrew Hickson for the better.
The program, run by Edith Cowan University researcher Carolyn McIntyre, is using exercise to ease the side-effects patients can experience from treatment.
Mr Hickson said he does weightlifting, stretching and bike sessions.
“It has really opened my eyes to... how exercise can help your mental and physical wellbeing after being diagnosed with something like mesothelioma,” he said.
