1 COTTESLOE

A PAIR of thieves broke a door in half to get into Zaraffa’s cof­fee shop on Stir­ling High­way about 3am on July 1. Sergeant Carol Ver­non said it would be al­leged the thieves searched the shop’s draw­ers and cup­boards and dam­aged a safe be­fore tak­ing some cash. The shop had CCTV and af­ter in­quiries, Fre­man­tle de­tec­tives charged a South Lake man (23) and a Bayswa­ter woman (27) with bur­glary and steal­ing. Both will ap­pear in court at a later date.

2 CITY BEACH

DIN­NER par­ty­go­ers were the tar­get of thieves af­ter they used a laun­dry door to en­ter a Lowanna Street home. Sergeant Carol Ver­non said the thieves also searched the home’s study and a bed­room when they en­tered between 8pm and 11.30pm on July 2. The thieves took the home­owner’s bag he used for his job in an of­fice.

3 NED­LANDS

A BLUE and yellow Yamaha mo­tor­cy­cle at Sir Charles Gaird­ner Hos­pi­tal was one of two taken in the past week. Se­nior Sergeant Paul Gelmi said the 2015 model ma­chine was taken from the hos­pi­tal’s grounds between 5pm and 10pm on July 1. The pre­vi­ous night, a 2010 model Yamaha with the same colours was taken from a Herds­man Pa­rade, Wem­b­ley home. Sgt Gelmi said the mo­tor­bikes were dif­fer­ent mod­els and any con­nec­tion between the thefts was be­ing in­ves­ti­gated.

4 WEST LEED­ERVILLE

A WEST Leed­erville man (33) al­legedly stole tools from a garage at a Brighton Street, West Leed­erville home dur­ing a 10-day spate of thefts un­til last Wed­nes­day. “They were gen­er­ally day­time of­fences when garages and stor­age sheds were tar­geted, and mainly tools taken,” Sgt Paul Gelmi said. The man was charged with steal­ing, be­fore he was bailed to reappear at Perth Mag­is­trates Court on July 15.

5 WEM­B­LEY

BI­CY­CLE thieves took a $6000 bike and bi­cy­cle parts from Wem­b­ley Cy­cles between 3am and 3.30am on July 6. Sgt Paul Gelmi said the thieves ap­peared to have dumped the bike. The bike was found around the cor­ner from the shop the fol­low­ing morn­ing.
