AFTER 11 years in the South-West, Sophie Zalokar and her husband Chris are selling their 7.44ha property, Foragers Field Kitchen & Cooking School.
Originally from the Barossa Valley, Sophie trained as a chef with Maggie Beer. She and Chris relocated from Fremantle to Pemberton 2005 with their two young children to realise their ambition of developing a unique culinary tourism business.
They have achieved their dream and, now that their children are older, are looking to take a break and pursue other opportunities.
The property includes the main residence, several luxury accommodation options and a multi-purpose food building.
The new owners can continue the Zalokars’ legacy or pursue other avenues such as a yoga or spa retreat, corporate retreat, wedding and special events, or eco tourism opportunities.
