Scouts in for the long haul even after move
AFTER relocating to Floreat earlier this year, the Perth Central Scout Group is seeking new members.
The group, which was established in February 2014, moved from West Perth to a hall at 12 Draper Street.
Scout Group development manager James Maughmer said members remained loyal during the move.
“Some of our members who lived the furthest away when we were based in West Perth are still the furthest away now, but they have stayed with us,” he said.
Mr Maughmer said scouts were as popular as ever, with up to two new groups established each year for the past three years, with the only limiting factor being a lack of volunteers to help run the groups and activities.
