Group rides to youth rescue
WEST Leederville community charity Dismantle will use a Westpac Foundation grant to mentor at-risk youths by showing them how to recycle bicycles.
Dismantle chief executive Pat Ryan said the grant would be used for the Bike Rescue holiday program for at-risk youth in Geraldton.
A Westpac spokesman said the foundation provided grants to 16 non-profit groups creating better communities and brighter futures for those at-risk in WA this year.
In the western suburbs, Subiaco’s ARTrinsic received $10,000, $4990 was given to the Earbus Foundation and $10,000 to the Future Living Trust, both in Wembley.
