NIDA Open to the young

NIDA Open will run per­form­ing arts classes for chil­dren and young adults at Su­bi­aco Arts Cen­tre in Oc­to­ber school hol­i­days.

Short-course sub­jects in­clude act­ing, drama, mu­sic theatre and creative play to un­lock creative po­ten­tial and build con­fi­dence.

NIDA Open head Tri­cia Ryan said she en­cour­aged this young gen­er­a­tion to find their creative voice with per­form­ing arts.

“Our fo­cus is the child or young per­son as an artist; we en­cour­age and sup­port young peo­ple of any age to fully ex­pe­ri­ence artis­tic prac­tice and ex­plore their unique creative po­ten­tial,” Ryan said.

‘This spring, NIDA Open has a course for ev­ery­one.”

Class top­ics range from Off the Cuff: Im­pro­vi­sa­tion, Act­ing for Stage and Screen and Screen Ac­tors So­ci­ety to Screen Act­ing Boot Camp and Au­di­tions Master­class.

NIDA tu­tors have ex­pe­ri­ence in theatre, tele­vi­sion and film.
