Rokeby Road businesses rally

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Business - By LISA THOMAS

SUBIACO businesses on Rokeby Road will hold a VIP Event this week, offering discounts and specials to customers.

The event, being held from Roberts Road to Hay Street, includes 15 businesses reminding shoppers they are still open despite the Rokeby Road upgrades.

Event organiser and kikki.K Subiaco store manager Eveline Masco said since the upgrades to Rokeby Road had started, some businesses had suffered, so the event was to reward loyal customers and invite new ones to Subiaco.

“We are hoping to remind customers that we are all still open during the road works,” she said.

“When the works are finished we will have a great new road and it’s something to be excited about, it’s always easy to complain, but it’s more productive to come up with a solution to invite people to Subiaco.”

Funtastico’s Nicky Tangney said she had noticed Rokeby Road had been quiet during the upgrades, but was hoping this event could turn that around.

“It’s very proactive and it’s good that some of the businesses can come together to support each other,” she said.

Kikki.K, Bang & Olufsen, Aveda, Boost Juice, Bstore, Menchies, San Churro, Architects and Heroes, Daneechi, Floyd’s, Linneys, Cha Time, Vodaphone and 7Eleven will take part in the VIP event.

The VIP Event will be held tomorrow at all participating stores.
