Net­ball sea­son gets to sharp end

PHANTOMS are guar­an­teed mi­nor pre­miers go­ing in to the fi­nal round of the Perth Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion open di­vi­sion one com­pe­ti­tion at Matthews Net­ball Cen­tre.

Phantoms beat Clas­sics 62-44 on Sat­ur­day while sec­ond-placed Scar­bor­ough de­feated Wem­b­ley 51-39, City Beach Surfers (1) had a 40-37 win over Aran­more Jets and City Beach (2) de­feated Ster­ling Saints 46-20.

In the ju­nior di­vi­sion one com­pe­ti­tion, Methodist Ladies’ Col­lege will fin­ish on top this sea­son after beat­ing Clas­sics (1) 42-34 on Sat­ur­day.

Sec­ond-placed City Beach (1) de­feated Clas­sics (2) 63-35 and John XXIII had a 43-26 win over Perth Col­lege.

Clas­sics (1) and City Beach (1) go in to the fi­nal round on equal points at the top of the ju­nior Year 7-8 com­pe­ti­tion lad­der.

On Sat­ur­day, Clas­sics (1) beat MLC 58-27, City Beach (1) de­feated Clas­sics (2) 56-27 and JTC had a 53-28 win over Perth Col­lege.
