PHAN­TOMS de­feated Ster­ling Saints 61-20 in the Perth Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (PNA) open divi­sion one com­pe­ti­tion on Satur­day, fin­ish­ing the sea­son mi­nor pre­miers.

Scar­bor­ough had a one-goal 39-38 win over Clas­sics (1), City Beach Surfers (1) beat City Beach (2) 39-33 and Aran­more Jets de­feated Wem­b­ley 38-30.

In the ju­nior divi­sion one com­pe­ti­tion, Clas­sics (1) de­feated John XXIII 47-30, Methodist Ladies’ Col­lege had a 42-24 win over Clas­sics (2) and Perth Col­lege de­feated City Beach 41-34.

Perth Col­lege beat MLC 32-27 in the Year 7-8 divi­sion one com­pe­ti­tion, Clas­sics (1) de­feated Clas­sics (2) 4022 and City Beach had a 54-24 win over JTC.

PNA an­nounced its 2016 All Stars Team fol­low­ing the last game on Satur­day with help from its pa­tron, Curtin MHR Julie Bishop, and Town of Cam­bridge Mayor Keri Shan­non.

Rochelle McKee (Phan­toms), Lau­ren Nis­bett (Clas­sics), Heidi Wil­son (Scar­bor­ough), Monique Eh­lers (City Beach Surfers), Genevieve Eh­lers (City Beach Surfers), Alexan­dra More­ton (Clas­sics), Kacy Mazz­ini (Phan­toms), Tess Crans­berg (City Beach Surfers) and Tamara Hughes (Aran­more Jets) were named in this year’s All Stars Team.

Raia Killen won the Bette Al­li­son Coach­ing Award, Fran Far­ring­ton was Vol­un­teer of the Year, Phan­toms scored most goals in sea­son 2016 and Rochelle McKee from Phan­toms won the Shirley Doorn­busch MVP medal.
