PRESBYTERIAN Ladies’ College will this month host the Independent Primary School Heads of Australia (IPSHA) art exhibition for the first time.

Artwork created throughout the year by students from 23 schools across Perth from Mullaloo to Rockingham will be on display at the school from September 11.

The bi-annual exhibition has been running for about 15 years and this time will have the theme Creativity is Contagious – Pass It On, taken from the Albert Einstein quote.

College art teacher Colleen Garland said the exhibition offered a chance to bring students and teachers together to share artistic ideas.

“We are trying to show that we share ideas and pass on techniques and work collaboratively,” she said.

College students will also be displaying their “chickens”, made out of recyclable items.

There will be a public viewing on Wednesday, September 14 from 4.30 to 7pm. Entry is free.
