Beef with fes­ti­val

MEAT lovers and beer afi­ciona­dos will de­scend on El­iz­a­beth Quay as part of the WA Beer and Beef Fes­ti­val from Fri­day, Septem­ber 23.

Af­ter a huge year in the Swan Val­ley, more than 70 lo­cal, in­ter­state and in­ter­na­tional brew­eries will take part in the event that will also in­clude crowd favourite beef dishes from Perth restau­rants and food trucks.

An event spokes­woman said fes­ti­val or­gan­is­ers were ex­pect­ing more than 15,000 peo­ple over the three-day fes­ti­val.

“Set against the back­drop of Perth city sky­line and the Swan River, the new home at El­iz­a­beth Quay will make this event more eas­ily ac­ces­si­ble for beer lovers to en­joy their favourite cold one, sit back, re­lax and en­joy the good­ness of beer,” she said.

The fes­ti­val will in­clude 20 brew­eries from WA, as well as oth­ers across the coun­try and in­ter­na­tion­ally as far as Cal­i­for­nia.

The event will also fea­ture mas­ter classes, cider houses, a cock­tail bar and wine from Oakover Wines in the Swan Val­ley.

Car­ni­vores will be able to in­dulge in their favourite flesh with a plethora of tasty food pop ups in­clud­ing The Trus­tee, Var­sity Bar, Porkies BBQ, The Print Hall, Ap­ple Daily, Sta­bles Bar, The Pizza Lounge and Jus Burg­ers.

Food trucks Soul Provider, Smokin’ BBQ Bus, Smokie’s BBQ Train will of­fer beef street food.

There will also be a bat­tle of the bar­be­cue as the best top eight bar­be­cue teams in WA bat­tle it out for the ti­tle of best bar­be­cue king.
