Beef with festival
MEAT lovers and beer aficionados will descend on Elizabeth Quay as part of the WA Beer and Beef Festival from Friday, September 23.
After a huge year in the Swan Valley, more than 70 local, interstate and international breweries will take part in the event that will also include crowd favourite beef dishes from Perth restaurants and food trucks.
An event spokeswoman said festival organisers were expecting more than 15,000 people over the three-day festival.
“Set against the backdrop of Perth city skyline and the Swan River, the new home at Elizabeth Quay will make this event more easily accessible for beer lovers to enjoy their favourite cold one, sit back, relax and enjoy the goodness of beer,” she said.
The festival will include 20 breweries from WA, as well as others across the country and internationally as far as California.
The event will also feature master classes, cider houses, a cocktail bar and wine from Oakover Wines in the Swan Valley.
Carnivores will be able to indulge in their favourite flesh with a plethora of tasty food pop ups including The Trustee, Varsity Bar, Porkies BBQ, The Print Hall, Apple Daily, Stables Bar, The Pizza Lounge and Jus Burgers.
Food trucks Soul Provider, Smokin’ BBQ Bus, Smokie’s BBQ Train will offer beef street food.
There will also be a battle of the barbecue as the best top eight barbecue teams in WA battle it out for the title of best barbecue king.
