MORE than 150 of Perth’s finest cars – Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, a superrare Giacattolo, a 1934 MG NA Supercharger, Aston Martins, Alfa Romeos, a Citroen D’Esse and Cadillacs – were on display at Cars and Coffee at a City Beach car park recently.

But this newspaper’s motoring reporter Bill Buys said it was a WA Police Commodore that commanded most attention.

“The fierce breeze made it difficult for club officials to tell the 400 people present about the date and venue of the next gettogether, when the police showed their public relations skills by offering their patrol car’s public address system. Problem solved, much goodwill achieved and all the car tragics left with smiles on their faces,” Bill said.
