Cheque for play area upgrade

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Street Watch -

MOSMAN Park Primary School is a leap closer to getting a $130,000 upgrade to its existing playground.

The school has been fundraising for months and recently received a donation of more than $13,000 from Coles supermarkets in Mosman Park, Claremont, Subiaco and West Leederville.

Customers and staff at the outlets banded together to raise the funds.

Coles state manager Mark O'Connor and Mosman Park store manager Nicola Fox visited the school to make the announcement and hand over a cheque to principal Alison Robb.

The school hopes to upgrade its existing equipment into a naturethemed play area with climbing and balance structures, ropes and logs, as well as structures such as cubbies, seating and shelter areas.

Ms Robb said the playground would benefit not just students, but the community who will be able to enjoy the space outside school hours.
