Race to Chase for free festival events

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Fashion - with Desmond Eddy

FORREST CHASE has been transformed this week to be the hub of free Perth Fashion Festival events until September 25.

The William Street Collective will showcase its wares of eclectic hip and happening on-trend men's and women's fashion from the Northbridge retail strip in a free runway show on Friday, September 23 at 11am.

Fashion lovers can expect to see Ollie & Sons, The Bronze Snake Shop, Fi & Co, Periscope and Merge Clothing.

Ollie & Sons has a strong passion for streetwear, stocking labels for both guys and girls who are confident in their style.

The Bronze Snake is for those who appreciate individuality, cutting a limited amount of pieces to ensure the 'clone' effect doesn't happen on the street.

Fi & Co has new and vintage clothing, with everything from shoes, hats and belts, to vintage books, antique bottles, vintage chairs, tea, ceramic wares, and jewellery.

Periscope has gone from strength to strength since moving to William Street in 2012, delivering an impressive mix of Australian and international fashion designers.

Owner Shantha Cokis is drawn to clothing that reflects quality and individuality, and selects labels which are both inspiring and wearable with a modern, timeless aesthetic.

Merge is heading into its 17th year and owner Lisa Chau has seen many changes while running her collective of talent base WA designers. The love and appreciation for authentic local brands increases all the time.
