A 2008 Mercedes Benz and $1500 cash from a safe was taken from a Ri­versea View home be­tween 1.30pm and 6pm on Septem­ber 29. Sergeant Paul Gelmi said the car had not been re­cov­ered late last week. In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent, a burglar was dis­turbed when the fe­male res­i­dent of a Welling­ton Street home got up af­ter hear­ing noise about 4.15am on Oc­to­ber 2. Sgt Gelmi said the woman later found crock­ery had been moved, in­di­cat­ing the burglar was dis­turbed dur­ing his search. A MOS­MAN Park man (35) has been charged for two at­tempted bur­glar­ies at the restau­rant Sub­ur­ban Ta­ble on Oc­to­ber 1 and Oc­to­ber 2. Sergeant Paul Gelmi said it would be al­leged CCTV footage showed the man at­tempt­ing to en­ter the restau­rant on both days. The man was charged with dam­age and will be sum­monsed to ap­pear in court at a later date.

THIEVES took $60 when they got into a garage at a Rhodes Place house be­tween mid­night and 4am on Oc­to­ber 6. The thieves en­tered a car at the house and ob­tained a re­mote con­trol which al­lowed them into the garage. Po­lice said noth­ing in­di­cated the in­ci­dent was linked to other re­cent bur­glar­ies in the area.
