CLARE­MONT player Jye Bolton has come away from his first sea­son play­ing in the WAFL with the club’s fairest and best award.

The star mid­fielder also re­ceived the San­dover and Simp­son medals after a stel­lar sea­son with the Tigers.

The club had other rea­sons to cel­e­brate at the awards night, with the re­serves and colts both hav­ing won the 2016 pre­mier­ship, de­feat­ing East Perth in the grand fi­nals.

Ger­rick Wee­don was named fairest and best for the re­serves, while Ja­cob Siders claimed the award for the colts.

Bolton was the stand­out player in the WAFL through­out 2016, with the 24-year-old mak­ing the move to WA hav­ing re­cently played in the VFL with Wer­ribee.

De­spite sit­ting out most of 2015 with a foot in­jury, the mid­fielder went on to av­er­age 29 pos­ses­sions a game in 2016.
