Spring into wine festival
WEEKEND festival fans can dive straight back in this Saturday and Sunday by heading to Subiaco for UnWined Subiaco.
City events last weekend including BeauVine Food and Wine Festival and Bonjour Perth enjoyed strong support and fine weather, and with Perth’s spring now in full bloom, CMS Events director Richard Campbell expects the biggest UnWined turnout yet at Market Square.
UnWined is labeled WA’s premium wine and food festival and this year is supported by nearly 40 wineries.
Among those involved are Swan Valley favourites Sittella and Houghtons, along with some lesser known boutique vineyards, which rely heavily on events such as UnWined Subiaco for awareness and new product introductions.
Harvey boutique winery Moojelup Farm is releasing the new vintage of its Cutsnake Sparkling Shiraz – a flagship wine hand-made in the method traditionnelle – and Margaret River’s Frog Choir Wines will release its 2011 Shiraz Cabernet as part of a vertical tasting of three slightly aged reds.
Mr Campbell said new additions this year included the VIP Experience Club Lounge ($127.50) and afterparty arrangements with several Subiaco bars, including Refuge Small Bar, Double Double, Bistro Felix, Subiaco Hotel and Village Bar.
Richard Campbell is ready for the food and wine festival.
